About ClearVector
ClearVector is an affordable website hosting company based in North Devon, England. We are the only UK based hosting company to offer completely custom hosting packages where you can specify exactly what you want in hosting, from webspace and monthly bandwidth, to webmail and scheduled tasks.
ClearVector was set up by freelance website developer Matt Bearman. For many years Matt had been buying webspace in bulk in order to be able to supply his clients with low cost, high quality website hosting for their websites. As Matt's client base rapidly grew he found he was able to buy webspace in greater volume, and therefore supply his clients with even cheaper hosting.
In the beginning of 2009 Matt decided to set up ClearVector, with the aim of offering the same great hosting to the general public. Whilst researching the current hosting market, Matt noticed a common theme with all hosting providers: they all try to pigeonhole their users into boxes with their 'hosting packages'.
The obvoius problem with this is that users will often end up paying for more than they need, for example: if you have a 100 mb website, you'll find most hosting providers offer a minimum webspace of 1,000 mb, so you end up paying for 9 times more webspace than you require!
Matt decided to challenge this standard model by offering the UK's first compeltely custom hosting package, allowing users to choose their own limits for webspace, bandwidth, sub-domains, databases, email addresses and much more. ClearVector now had its unique selling point, and was ready to challenge the hosting market.
As a company, ClearVector's main aim is to give more power and control to internet users, in the last fifteen years the internet has gone from being an elitist hideout for the technologically minded, to an essential communications tool used by all. We intend to keep pushing this shift in dynamic, ultimately giving every web user the power to mould the internet to their needs.
